Filmmaker behind A YEAR WITHOUT RENT, UP COUNTRY, BLANC DE BLANC, and GRAVIDA. Man without a country.
A man arrives, suddenly, in Pittsburgh and falls for a woman he meets on the street. Only, his past life isn't willing to let him go without a fight. Blanc de Blanc is an indie film exploring the blurry boundaries of expectation and trust in the intensity of new relationships.
It started as a dare on Twitter. Is it possible to shoot and edit a feature-length film in just 2 weeks? Maybe? Would it be watchable? Maybe.
3 weeks to do all the pre-production, including writing the script and casting the film.
The film was shot in 4 1/2 very, very long days from an outline. Nearly all the dialogue was improvised. It was edited in 10 1/2 days. The score is original. It was composed in those same 2 weeks.
The entire film cost $970.
