Spiral of Life Studios first became involved when he asked to use the song “Sailing The Spiral Seas” in it, and our participation grew from there. It is an allegory of a fisherman who takes advantage of the last days of a creek before it is mined by an energy business. Filmed in the beautiful back country of Utah.

Culture has become collaborative and creativity defines the new generation. We have something very important to protect: THE INTERNET, the place where innovation and knowledge (still) run free.
The wide access to information has opened the door to the most basic means of creativity: Remix.
What is copyright supposed to protect in these changing times? Is copying really stealing? Couldn't there be a better way? There might actually be...

THE PROJECT

The Internet Is Closing Down (Internetul se închide) is a 15 minute documentary, and the first Romanian project that tackles the intricate relationship between file-sharing and intellectual property. It features some relevant answers from activists in Romania, as well as notes from several other US based activists like Lawrence Lessig, Brad Burham, Clay Shirky and others. It was launched online for free in Romania, and within hours it gained exposure from one of the most important local independent media channels in the country. It got 25.000 hits in the first three days.

HOW WE WILL SPEND YOUR MONEY

All the money we raise with your support will go towards creating a BRAND NEW animated web series dedicated to debunking the myths of online copying. The series will consist of a number of 2D animated episodes, each dealing with a different argument as to what is fair or not on the digital ground - and the big difference between copying something and actually stealing it. It will feature simple but very comprehensive arguments for everyone to understand, and will be available for free - for download or streaming.

Copying is a ritual as old as the human race: the act of sharing a piece of culture or information. We should definitely support the author and his work, but culture should be shared freely. This is how new ideas are born and this is how society evolves as a whole.

SYNOPSIS
Alistair, a genetic researcher, saves his own life from cancer by making a pact with some dark and dangerous people. The secret lies with whatever is making the odd sounds in Alistair's basement. The deal he made forbids him to go down there for three days...no matter what he sees or hears. His sanity, his life, depends on it.

As the line between reality and delusion fades, Alistair struggles with nosy neighbors (Richard Pryor Jr.), a rival ex-boss (Daniel Roebuck, LOST) and haunting images of a lady in blue. Getting out of the house to visit a friend (Brenna Lee Roth) only makes his anxiety worse. With each passing hour, an urge to open the door slowly chips away at him...

Will he be able to resist? What's making all that noise beneath the floorboards? How is Alistair connected to the lady in blue and what is beyond the basement door?

Hungry Yellow Market

HUNGRY YELLOW MARKET is a 35-minute experimental narrative film with three interlocking but disconnected stories.

In the first, an unwelcomed middle-of-the-night phone call brings ex-boyfriend Dylan to Eileen’s door. In the second, Joseph asks his brother, a psychiatrist, to help explain the nightly appearance of a ghost at the foot of his bed. In the third story, Adrian, a bored and disillusioned recent college graduate sets out on a meandering road trip with his friend Eli to find and join an anarchistic fringe community called Hungry Yellow Market.

While the stories never truly intersect, elements from one appear in the others. For instance, Adrian from the third story finds a scrap of paper on which is written a poem by Eileen from the first. The actress who plays Eileen also plays Joseph’s ghost in the second story. More importantly, these characters and their stories chart a common theme of youthful disappointment, that the self-confidence instilled by loving mothers might not lead to actual opportunities and achievements in adult lives.

Little, if anything, in the stories’ plot or its characters’ dialogue refers explicitly to this theme. Nonetheless, the emotional backbone of the film is determined by it. This backbone gives the film its uncanny coherence far more than the story’s clever plot intersections or gentle surrealistic tone.

The Harvest Project

A tense thriller twisting its way through an ethical maze of shadowy bio-trading, backstreet surgery and law enforcement.

Personal anguish drives Professor Morteyz, a brilliant physician, into devising 'The Harvest Project'– a sophisticated underground network of organ transplants.

The ethics of the project are challenged when his young protégé falters and becomes involved in the lucrative but treacherous black market.

The university campus emerges as the perfect harvest ground for living ‘marks’. However, the project is compromised when the death of a mark attracts the attention of Detective Tzume.

When his undercover operation reveals those responsible, Detective Tzume is faced with a heart wrenching dilemma - should he bring the vigilantes to justice, or use the ‘project’ to save the life of his only daughter who is in desperate need of an organ transplant?

In INVISIBLES: South America, Daniel Vargas arrives in Buenos Aires carrying a virus into his body. The pharmaceutical mafias operating at the Triple Frontier want to catch him and use this deadly virus in order to spread it in Haiti. Vargas has to avoid his capture and try to stay alive.
