THE YES MEN FIX THE WORLD
We took the award-winning The Yes Men Fix The World and brought it to a fresh audience of over 700,000 through our distribution network. The Yes Men offered a variety of incentives in return for audience support -- including a giveaway of props from the film -- and received over $26,000 to date. The team also noted a massive rise in merchandise via the increased attention in their film -- to the tune of an extra $5,000 in DVD sales in the first two months.
The Yes Men are on record as saying VODO is their "favourite distribution system ever". They particularly enjoyed the high level of audience engagement in the form of emails, comments, Tweets and social network activity.
Pioneer One is an original VODO series written, produced and directed by the team behind The Lionshare, VODO's first fiction feature release. The show, initiated with funds from KickStarter, was a big success for VODO: it has reached an audience of more than 1m, direct support to the tune of $55,000 and is now in production with the season finale.
The show also won the New York Television Festival 'best new drama pilot' in 2010 and the team are being courted by talent agencies and television channels worldwide.
