In 1985, Mark Craig bought an answer machine. He then kept every message it recorded... for 20 years. 'Talk To Me' is a journey through life, conveyed entirely by real answer machine messages. "Back in 1985," says Mark, "the communication methods that we take for granted today were completely non-existent. There were no emails, no mobile phones, no texting. Even owning an answer machine at the time was considered a little bit ‘flash'. I began saving messages mainly because I thought they would make a nice ‘diary' of sorts. Each 60min cassette tape was duly numbered, dated and stored in a shoebox until finally, 20 years after I started, I felt the time was right to put something together…

It is amazing how much you can find out about someone from short answerphone messages. Funny, interesting and touching. Brilliant.

How were you folks able to watch this movie?

Despite becoming a "subscriber" I can neither stream nor download it from VODO.

I am only half way through Mark, but if I laugh any more, I will have go and have a lie down. Its great, just love the movement throughout and change in tone, up and down, every other minute. Also have to explain to every other person under the age of 25 what an answerphone and landline actually is! Thanks, Richard
